The real measure of success for any project will be if the project meets the client’s expectations and is constructed in a safe manor using quality materials and workmanship.  To insure that this happens, GCC has implemented a detailed Quality Control / Quality Assurance program.

Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program operates on the philosophy that focuses on customer satisfaction, employee training, proper field documentation and continuous improvement.  It aims at minimizing problems such as lack of teamwork and communication, poorly defined work, and inadequate project leadership.

QC/QA program is based on ISO 9001 guidelines and includes the following key areas:

  • Internal communications

  • Follow-up activities

  • Documented procedures

  • The effectiveness of management review meetings

  • Customer feedback systems

  • Training programs, e.g. for management or for internal auditors

Checking quality in craftsmanship and abiding by the management practices established to maintain that quality is important in any industry. But even more so in the concrete construction industry — particularly in tilt-up construction — as it is the foundation of structural support.
